i put this picture here because i want everyone to look at it. yes. see death? death is a scary motherfucker, he is powerful, he is bigger than life, and he can kill dean with a single look. and then look at dean, standing up to him with zero fear, inside or out. he is risking so much in this episode - his life, his morality, and the chance of failure - all for sammy. look at it any way you want, everything dean does is for sam.
how can somebody who is loved so much and in so many different painful, endless ways, not be a class A human being? for sam, dean has given up his life and his death. there is no other thing anyone could give. a person who didn’t deserve such dedication from another human being wouldn’t have it.
as for what sam has done to earn it? he gives. he forgives. he loves. he protects. he sacrifices. he loves. he understands. he supports. he loves. he loves. he loves. from the age of four years old, he has been mapping out dean’s entire being so that he could walk just a little bit more like dean walks, smile a little bit more like dean smiles, be brave just a little more the way dean is. dean has been his answer key for all of life’s choices, and no one else has ever gotten every answer right.
so when you want to judge him for ‘teaming up’ with ruby? remember whom he was doing it for. remember how much he hated himself for the person he became with the demon blood, and remember once again whom he continued to do it for anyway. when you want to judge him for leaving dean, over and over? remember that he could never stay away. that he never would. and that when you are so closely intertwined with a person, sometimes you need time to sort out where you end and he begins.
the only thing you can hate sam for is how much he loves dean. because if dean asked him to, sam would set the whole world on fire and let it burn, and there would be nothing you could do about it.

So much win! (Maybe not the wincest part at the end, but non the less lol) Also as much as I hated season 4 and all the crap that happened to Sam and what he did, in the end I would rather have a character that does mistakes, but learns from them then a Mary Sue/Gary Stu. Which Sam Winchester nor Dean Winchester is not. That way I can love them! XD
FUCKING BRILLIANT
